Anapod Explorer and Windows Vista

Just a bit of a heads-up for anyone running Windows Vista who is thinking about picking up Red Chair Software’s Anapod Explorer – don’t. Well not until they fix it.

I’m running Vista Business 64 bit, with a 5th Gen Video iPod and I can’t drag and drop files to my iPod. When I have Anapod Explorer open, I can’t drag and drop files at all in Windows.

Looks great... shame it doesn’t work (for me). More disgruntled users here.

# re: Anapod Explorer and Windows Vista

It does work but took me a little bit of working out.

Im running Vista 64 SP1 and this is how i did it.

I got some reg file that give me the option to copy to or move to option when i right click on something.

You just open up Anapod and set it to your ipod option with the option playlist open, then go to the music folders you want to use and right click on it and copy to playlist.

I say playlist as it seems to be the best option to make the ipod easy to work with as you turn all music options off in the ipods options apart from playlist.

Then playing albums will be so much better .
